Pro 5.o is the only way to go. The new no miss 2-3 shifter can't be beat. Go with a Lou's short stick and you have a combo that can't be beat

I believe so but that is due to the shifter popping itself into the center directly while in between gears-however many shifters do this as well nearly as easily. A Short Throw will help no matter what-It's all preference of how it feels to the person-Pro 5.0 is said to be notchy, and the B&M is said to be smoother-Pro 5.0 has shorter shifts-B&M has fewer reported gear selection issues and is said to be QUIETER

Most if not All shifters or atleast aftermarket shifters tend to send the shifter directly to the center around neutral position so 3 is almost a straight shot UP

My 5.0 doesn't make any noise.

Yes it feels notchier, but I also don't "feel" anything different with the 2-3 shift. At least nothing that stands out. Hell my friend still misses the 2-3 and he's got a 5.0

Thanks for the info on that one, I will keep that in mind!! Thanks again

no votes for the kirban?? i myself have a hurst with a short stick and havent missed a gear once. and i havent owned a stick shift in 7 years. always pops to center when in nuetral ands its a very positive direct feel in my opnion. i may change down the road for comparative reasons but its working good for me now.--btw does anyone know if power shifting a hurst can bend the forks?? i dont think it has bump stops...

I remember reading a thread where someone said the t56 has internal stops so the pro 5.0 stops are only a back up and are probably not needed. More then likely they were included because pro 5.0 makes shifters for other trans that dont have internal stops.

You can get it from UMIPerformance.com they are a sponsor. It's roughly 26.99, not including shipping and handling.....

Itis slightly shorter than the Pro 5.0 Stick....

Pro 5.0 W/cut Handle, I Bought The Umi Short Stick And It Is The Same Hight Of The Cut Pro 5.0 Handle. Also Had The Aftermarket Hurst, Not Bad But I Still Like The Pro 5.0 Better.

The t56 does have internal stops but if you shear off the selection **** you are screwed if you don't have the stops on the shifter. I have a t56 right now that had that problem. It was rebuilt 4 times by more performance they coudn't figure out what was wrong it would get stuck in 4th after 3,000 miles every time. The guy just had the ripper on it and it would overshift everytime and push out the slider keys eventually breaking them and letting it get stuck in 4th. I have both the pro 5.0 and he hurst billet plus. I don't have the tranny in my car yet to tell you which one I like better. I noticed the pro 5.0 has really weak springs. But I got it for 19 dollars on ebay so I can't complain.

I've got a Pro 5.0 and love it, but to be honest, I've never driven a Ripper.

I'm on my third Pro 5.0 (also have/had 'em in two Mustang GTs) with about 1 1/4" cut off the stick. Great shifter, but it will be a little noisier than stock...
