which ****? Ok which **** to go with for my power tower 5.0 shifter?
I was looking into the hurst **** with the line lock button pre-fabb'ed into it already (part number 1630052) but the damned thing is the size of a cue ball!

I like leather wrapped ***** (I have a Hurst **** on a cut-down Pro 5.0 shifter). I had an MBA billet **** (well, still have it, but on a shelf). The difference is the 'feel' you get transmitted through the shifter and to your hand. Believe it or not, a 'hard' **** will make the transmission feel notchier than a 'soft' (leather wrapped) ****. I found that I hit my shifts more reliably with a leather **** rather than the billet one.

My car had the hurst leather shift **** when I got it, I bought a hurst classic shift ball that is about the size of a billard ball. I like the look but I hated the feel, the ball was too big and I couldnt grab it comfortably. heres a pic http://darmer.com/shifter%20thumb.htm

I have the MBA aluminum SS shift ****, and I recently picked up a Delrin shift ****. I really like it.
