Default Drive shoe-less?

Does anyone else drive their M6 w/o their shoes on? I have big 'ol honkers (11.5-12in.) and its really awkward driving with shoes on because of how the pedals are placed.
Any others out there?

I wear a size 14 shoe and don't have a problem driving with steel toe boots on and such... although it is much more comfortable to drive barefoot. During the summer time when I wear sandals, I just slip them off while I'm driving.

I love driving with just a slip on "boat or deck" shoe on because they have soft rubber souls and transmit a good feel back to my foot. I actually got really good @ heel toeing a 90 VW Jetta when we still had that, and right now with an 00 malibu and it's auto, I'm sure I've lost the touch. Damn I need a car!!! (I'm working on it though). 13s here too btw.

i have 15-16's here and the heel toe thing is a pain in the ***. Driving with my shoes off is interesting. There is a lot more feeling in the pedal.

I heel-toe with my size 12's. I modified the gas pedal to place it closer to the brake.

Oh, and my wife assumed I had bigger feet before she read my shoe size.

I drive shoeless quite a bit, also. When wearing sandals, just slip 'em off and slide them under the seat. Have done that always, back to high school with my '70 Dodge Challenger. (showing my age) I like to grip the clutch pedal with my toes and pull it back. Just call me monkey boy. Size 12's, no problem with shoes on, just prefer shoeless.

Try the addidas Tuscany drivers shoe.

Awesome, I love mine. I have 11.5 feet and these leave lots of room.

I always have shoes on when I drive. The pedal placement and feel in my car just suck for any heel-toe action.

One thing I did to increase room down there is to drill a small hole in the plastic above where your feet are on each side of where the steering column is and use black zip ties to pull the plastic up giving my feet more room. I also tied up each corner. I wear a size 12 and this helped alot.

I did two things to help that, grab the pedal and bend it over towards the brake pedal and I put a wider aftermarket gas pedal on as well. It is almost as good as my 89 TPI was, it was absolutely perfect for heel and toe. It bends pretty easily. I did that 6 years ago. You need it even more with the narrow driving shoes.

I have driving my car with shoes on. Barefoot or with socks gives me a much better feel of the clutch, brake, and throttle. I have size 12 feet and can heel toe very easily barefoot with the pedals in their normal spots.

I drive with leather soled cowboy boots. Of course, that is about all I wear, but pedal ffel is excellent. If I do drive with a athletic shoe on, it takes a few minutes to get the right feel back.
