It was actually pretty funny to watch. I bitched at them after a tranny swap because my "SS" **** wasnt lined up and I couldnt get it off. It took like 5 different techs and then they finally pulled it off and put it in the vice and had to use the biggest pipewrench they had
I was laughing the whole time
Turns out, on the test drive, it wouldnt stop rattling so the tech poured a bottle of the GM red lock tight in it and put it on
I got a good laugh out of it.

that's how I did it..........it made some minor scrapes in a few places (attempted to use a rag under the channel locks first but they kept slipping) but nothing that bothers me (been this way now for 4 years)..........
installed Pro5.0 > minor scrapes on shift ****

my **** wouldnt come off either when it came time to doing the pro5.0
i held the base while my beast of a friend turned the ****, and the **** actually started to twist but still stay connected causing a spiral look on the top of the **** from it turning but not actually turning.
so i just went ahead and put my pro5.0 in and drove around without a boot or **** and just made a **** out of duct tape.
worked good till i got my new **** and boot in...

in my lt1 car i had the same proble. go down and buy one of those wrench things that are a big rubber strap on the end. the ones you pull the strap tight and then you twist. it doesnt leave any marks and you dont have to be strong. they look like a big thick rubber band attatched to the end of a wrench. they are at checker auto parts and wal mart if im correct...
