Am I the only one with a broken D&D trans? I had mine redone there and spent $2k because of everything I had replaced and upgraded. It lasted me about 1500 miles. They were hard miles but that is all it lasted. I broke the sycro gears off on 2nd and I had to have some other stuff replaced also. I called them up and asked if they could do anything for me considering how quickly it went out and they asked what I had done to the car as far as mods go. so I told them the TNT kit and 12 bold, lid and filter. They sounded like they didnt believe me and said it takes more than that to break gears in these things.

Well I took it to liberty and thats where I seen all of the damage I did to it and I am haveing it faceplated and everything else replaced that needs it. Its going to cost me around $850. I know it wont be a good street trans but hopefully it can last a little longer for a lot less $ I am thinking about takeing my other one down there just to be freshend up so I have a nice street trans also. $195 labor plus parts.

You actually broke the syncros? Did you misshift? Were they standard replacement or were they upgraded too? Don't mean to sound rude but I know of their rep and the T56 only in general and there are a lot nastier cars out there with no probs what so ever. You are the only one I have heard of as of yet that has had a problem. I know the T56 isn't the strongest manual out there but there are not so light cars pushing well over 800 hp with them and they are holding just fine.

Well I didnt miss shift I was on the bottle doing a 1-2 powershift and 2nd just wasnt there. I didnt miss it, it just never was there. When it was torn down at liberty all the little teeth that are on the side of 2nd gear were gone. I would have pics but they used it to faceplate the trans. The slider or the ring that slides on those gears was bad but not broken.

I am not sure all of what they put into the trans at the time but I do know it cost me right around $2k to have it gone thru. I know they put the steel shift fork and the good syncros but what ever else I am not sure. I know they have a good rep and all but when I called to see if they could do anything for me because of the low mi. they pretty much called me a lier when I told them the few mods that I have on the car. I have a vid of the car breaking and how I launched. You can see it just bearly lifted the front tire off the ground. I have had the car dynoed since then and it put 500 to the rear wheels. Which is pretty good for a stock car but shouldnt be enough to break the trans like it did.
