Default ls1 t56 camaro tail housing

I've been looking for a t56 for me recent ls1 swap. I was wondering if I would be able to use a t56 from a cts-v? It is a m12, but uses a different tail housing and shifter. Was wondering if anyone knew if I could buy a tail housing for a camaro and use that. Any one know where I could buy a camaro tail housing from?

Anyone know if this would work, and where I could get a tail housing for it?

I'm trying to use it in a thirdgen camaro. From my understanding, I should just need the tail housing extension. I dont have the tranny yet but I'm assuming the tailshaft is the same spline just with a plate attached. Was thinking I could just take that off. It would help tremendously if someone knew if this would work or not.

Is there a specific reason you want to use the V's transmission? Why not a normal LS1 tranny? I would *assume* that you could swap tailhousings... now, I know nothing about the V, but I assume the biggest difference would be the lack of a torque arm mounting point.

You can buy tailhousings from http://www.ddperformance.com - heck, give them a call, they may know the answer. Helpful folks there.

I would only use the cts-v m12 because it is cheap. I wont be able to see it before I buy.
