Default Should the clutch disk be compressed between flywheel and PP during torqing?

I just put my ram PG in and when I put it on the flywheel, I needed to torque the bolts down to get it to seat up against the flywheel. I kept the disk on the alignment tool and finished the torqing them down. I'm assuming this is how it should be...but I don't remember the original clutch coming off that way...any advice?

Is everything cool?

Sounds like you're doing it right to me. The pressure plate should begin to compress the pressure plate springs as you tighten down the six bolts. I had about 1/4" of space between the PP and the flywheel when the clutch disc wouldn't move.
