Default Rattling

I just noticed that I have a rattling noise coming from the clutch area. I also have a hard time shifting into gears, are these signs of a clutch that's about to go??? Any comments greatly appreciated

Not sure, but if it is going, make sure you get a new slave cylinder and do the drill mod (as well as a new master cylinder) if you have the $$$ -- VERY well worth it. I just got the mods done (in my sig) and the clutch feels WAY better - the stock clutch was going after 63k miles. The travel is so much shorter in the clutch, I doubt I'm going to adjust the engagement point more than a couple inches! ... Hope you find what's wrong... could be a loose bolt for all i know

Well, the rattling seems to be getting louder now since the last time I posted. Any of you know what it is??? I'm thinking it might be a loose flywheel or a spring that broke some where in there.. It seems to only do it when I leave from first gear and a little in reverse?? I guess what I want to hear is that I can drive it for a while until I can get a spec three with the new hydraulics. Keep in mind that I only use my car about two days out of the week, but the annoying sound of clatter kills me. Any comments greatly appreciated..

Mine was making a rattling and whining noise and then a bearing in my transmission went. I'd get it looked at pronto, before it gets worse. Could be the throwout bearing. Could be your transmission.
