Default HELP, starter not hitting flywheel......

So I just got done putting the car all back together, after the block swap.....and since we pulled the block out, I decided to go ahead and do the clutch while I was at it. So I got a spec 3, with a re-surfaced stock flywheel. Heres the thing....the car is an 00, and the block is an 02. Some say that you have to get a new starter depending on what year block you have. Well when I went to start the car for the first time, the starter engaged, but didnt hit the flywheel, or it did, but only for a split second, not enough to turn the motor over. So I went out and got an 02 starter....same thing is happeneing......:wtf: Can anyone shed some light on this for me????? I am leaving for NC tomorrow, towing the car, but I want it running, its easier to get it on the trailer that way Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Rob
