Default Z06 clutch application

My clutch is toast so I was thinking of getting the Z06 clutch kit. My T/A only has your basic bolt ons with nothing major planned in the future. I hate clutches that chatter so is the Z06 clutch a good choice? Also does the Z06 clutch fit fbods? I am getting a new slave and through-out bearing, too.

The Z06 clutch is an excellent driver clutch...I'd use it in anything I don't plan on racing. If you are going to be taking it to the track I'd go with something else though. I've put over 20,000 on my spec stage 3 and it hasn't missed a beat. It did chatter like crazy until it broke in, but everything sorted itself out after a few hundred miles.

I am on my 3rd Z06 clutch with 67K miles on my car. I have well over 400 passes on the car and have never had an issue with these clutches and have launched the car on drag radials into the 1.74 60' range and nowadays, I bog at 3800-3900 RPM but blow my tires off at 4200 so it's time for a MT tire.

Stock clutch, changed it out at around 30K miles, stuck in a used one from a buddy for the next 25K miles of more track time and mods, replaced everything last fall and started to launch harder then in the past, no issues, or complaints the clutch grabs.

As for the last clutch, I sent my disc out and had it lined with Kevlar. It holds fantastic.

I do have a small cam, along with exhaust. It works well for me, if you are going to stay a bolt on car, you will be just fine.

I did however replace all of the hydraulics on the 3rd clutch replacement with a new flywheel and pressure plate.

I just got a ZO6 clutch installed with a new slave and it works great. I think it's a perfect upgrade if you don't plan on doing any major mods.
