HELP! Brand New LS6 clutch is giving me fits!
Okay here's the scoop-about a 3 weeks ago my Exedy single died. Now not having too much faith in the aftermarket I decided to go back to the stock Z06 clutch. Reason for this was because I had over 150, 6000 rpm, dump the clutch, drive it like you stole it on ET Streets passes with it. Ran a best of 11.656@117.74 stock! So I break in this clutch for around 400k-then decide to try it out. Take off in first grab second, hit third then forth-wait-no pedal-it's all soft and I could not get 4th. Drive around for a bit-clutch feels fine, releases near the top-try it again1-2nd no problem but 3rd and 4th the clutch pedal goes limp. When it does engage after the rpms come down it grabs right off the floor-WTF!!!! I'm pissed-is this already done? I replace all the hydrauilics when I changed the clutch-this is bullshit! Does anyone have any idea what could be happening?

The clutch is slipping= heat and that boils the brake fluid in the slave cylinder that causes te problem. Flush you hydraulic system and it will help., but as the fluid gets old and heated it breaks down and you have to flush system again.
