Default how do you knw if u have an aftermarket clutch?

how could i find out if i have something other than a stock clutch, that someone could of put on before i had the car? rather than pulling the tranny out, my clutch feels way different from my buddys 02 ss w/ a brand new clutch. my clutch engages a lil off the floor, and is very firm the clutch rarely gets hot and gets spongy?
thanks

I know what you mean. I didnt know my car had a B&M shifter until I took the boot off and looked.

It's kind of difficult to tell you how the clutch should feel stock. It varies from car to car. My Tex feels almost the same as stock, with just a little chatter.
