I have the UNI short stick too. With the Factory Hurst shifter. Took some getting use to. But I like it now. UMI is a great CO. to deal with.

I ran mine with a Pro 5.0. Perfect height and throw.

Have the UMI and really like it. Have mine on the stock Hurst shifter. Great mod for 26 bucks, helped my shifting tremendously. I dont know if anyone has had this problem but my bolts seem to get a little loose after about a month of use. I think this is my fault though because I have not put any locktite on the bolts.

Loctite or Teflon tape will take care of that

As I've posted a few times already, I just installed the SLP shifter and WS6Store shortstick. The shifter is a modified stock unit, easy drop in and fit. The stick is probably the same as all the others, nothing but a milled-threaded steel rod, about $25. The shifter and stick were in a package deal, under $100 for both. Great investment, easy install, and FAST, tight shifts, eliminates the 2-3 mis-shift. An added note, I just got off the phone with an SLP tech guy.....said any noises you hear are supposed to be there, as with aftermarket shifters, there is less/no noise barriers or sound cancelations, however you want to put it. So its actually supposed to sound like you're low on trans fluid while driving.

to AaronR......any new short stick will bolt on to the SLP shifter. Just make sure you attach it to the LEFT side of the shifter, or you won't be able to get into reverse. As far as sticks go, I think they're all the same.....just a straight, short steel rod.

This is the reply I got in a PM, just waiting for another reply when he gets to it.

Hello,

Thanks for the interest

Yes I have had them before. I will look into it and see what I can do. For some reason I was thinking the B&M had a non-removeable handle?

Thanks!
Ryan

The B&M ripper is a single piece shaft so there is no aftermarket stick available for it. When I say single piece, I mean there is no handle that bolts to the shifter mechanism...it's a straight thru design. So unless you cut it shorter and weld it back on, you are SOL.
