Default Does the Textralia come prebalanced?

The reason I asked is because I got the OZ700 Textralia clutch kit with the slave and all that stuff with the roselock 18 pound billet flywheel and nothing is balanced. I thought these were balanced together and ready to go? My buddy's SPEC was balanced with the flywheel and sent just as they balanced it. Everything in my box that I got was seperated.

Just a question that was bugging me.

Thanks guys,

Dustin

How do you know it wasn't balanced, did you get it rebalanced and found that it was off?

Does the flywheel, disc, and pressure plate have the same perm marker number?

Where did you order it from? I believe it is balanced from the factory, then A&A Corvette balances it as an assembly in which case their should be some sort of machine marks or something.

I got it from Young. I was just making sure it was balanced before I installed it. I haven't had to deal with clutches before this except for the friend's Spec which was already balanced and put together ready for the install. I'll check for the marks when I get home today. Is it just as simple as dot to dot or what? (Perm Marker)

Textralia pins their pressure plates/flywheels so you can only install it one way.

Beautiful.

Thanks guys. By the way, as soon as I posted this thread, Jeff from Textralia had already sent me an e-mail to give me some info on the clutch. Damn...that was fast. Between Young and Textralia, we've got some damn good sponsors.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll give an update a bit later when I install this thing in "the bitch" as the girlfriend like to call it.

That is only true for the stock flywheel. The 18lbs billet has 4 sets of machinests marks (punches) on the side of the the PP and the side of the flywheel. Line those up and you will be good to go.

That's good to know...My billet kit is still sitting in its box, so I haven't spent more than 5 minutes looking at it.

Yea I found that out the hardway If you look at the edge you should find the machinest marks. Dont forget 72ft/lbs for the flywheel 54ft/lbs for the Pressure plate.
