[2004 Corvette Z06] What is UP with the wheel hop?
I took my car for a couple of runs today at englishtown. I was aware that wheel hop is a problem with later model 'vettes.
A few "test launches" showed me how to finesse the launch and drive around the "hop". E-towns track(to me anyway) was seemingly STICKY on my first run, and I've never felt such an awful feeling on the top of 1st and 2nd gear no matter how easily I applied the throttle.
I've heard people mention lowering the rear of the car to prevent the travel?
I'm through with racing the car, but was curious if someone had a fix that was simple and would allow SPINNING instead of that horrible feeling that breaks diffs and outputs. Oh, I did a 12.90@113 lifting three times. Car was 3280 w me in it and .5 tank of gas. Not too shabby I would say
