SPEC 2 or SPEC 3- Help Me Pick one!
Hi,
I have a 1999 W5.6 TA M6, and I was wondering what clutch to buy. I currently have a stock clutch. Im getting a really bad burning smell off of a hard launch, and when press the clutch in it makes all kinds of noises. My car is a daily driver, with only an exhaust, y-pipe, MAF, air lid. Down the road I will prob get headers and a intake manifold. My question is, would the Spec 2 or 3 be better for me? I want the peddle to feel the same as stock and not be to stiff. I go to the track maybe 3 times a year, so about 15 passes. Which should I buy? Thanks!

I've been recommended a stage 2+ and that will be sufficient for heads and cam. mainly for street use, but track use sometimes. I believe the stage 2+ is good to around ~500hp, stage 3 is 680, kinda overkill there.
Stage 2 gets my vote, im ordering mine monday.

Rides just like stock, Hooks like mad on the track. No problems slipping it at all in city traffic. I work in a city and drive 15 min in the city every day stop & go traffic to get tothe highway and no issues at all.

Doing the deed at a friends house. Gotta love air tools.
Put a new master & slave in while we were there.
Good time to replace the shifter too. I already had the Hurst, so just did a UMI short stick

i just put the spec stage 3 in my car along with the mcleod upgraded slave cylinder and i couldnt be happier. the pedal doesnt kill my leg with the updated slave in it. is definately grabbier i love it. its behavior is a lil different but its not like on/off. i put 220 miles onn it so far and im already used to it. spend 20 dollars more and get the spec stage 3!! you can find a great deal on it at www.EADPerfomance.com. i think its like 385.00 then the slave cylinder is like 129.00 everyone else is selling the specs for alot more

Just got stage 2 installed today. The good: light pedal feel, grabs like hell. The bad: vibration at idle and pretty much at all times when clutch is not engaged. Hopefully, this will go away with time.

I still have to brake in mine... maybe it will change
Where does your stage 2 disingage? Mine is way too in the pedal movement ( floor). Those days I'm modifying the master cylinder hoping it will help (adjustable).
