Clutch Replacement from ground zero
After going thru 4 clutches and 2 transmissions, I've decided to start from scratch. The following is what I have come up with to address the problems I have had in the past.
The car currently has an LS6 clutch with steel flywheel. The hydraulics were installed in '01. The trans has around 70,000 on the clock.
I have purchased new factory hydraulics (master, braided line, and slave)
I have done the drill mod to the new braided line.
I have purchased Wilwood EXP 600 high temp DOT 4 brake fluid (supposedly good to 600 degrees)
I will bench bleed the new hydraulic system.
I am installing a brand new SPEC stage III PP and disc
I will be resurfacing the steel flywheel
I will be using the SPEC supplied shim
I will be wrapping the braided line with both rubber line as well as reflective heat wrap
Am I missing anything? Please chime in with any insight or suggestions.
