What T56 gear oil to use and how much?

Payton- You'll need 4 quarts...although I think the capacity is 3.8 or somthing like that.
Essentially, you take the fill plug out first (so you know it comes out), then drain it, reinstall and torque the drain plug, and then - with the car level - just keep adding fluid until it comes out the fill hole. When you add fluid and it just keeps coming out...wait for it to stop, reinstall the fill plug and torque, and your done.
As for which brand to get, take a read through this thread....many were covered there: Which T56 fluid?

I used a manual fluid pump from Pep boys. Insert one end in you bottle and the other in the transmission and pump until it starts flowing out of the fill hole....
