Default Clutch Pedal Issues

I'm confused... At full throttle, my clutch won't allow me to shift into gear, usually into fourth or fifth. Then the clutch pedal sticks on the floor and I have to do the Texas Two-Step trying to lift off the floor with my foot. But this seems to only happen at full throttle. Around town seems to be okay.

So, I called Star, since I have their Stage 3 Kevlar, and they said to replace the slave. Since I have headers, the heat probably boiled the fluid and burst a seal in the slave. So we did (updated 145). At the same time, we put in some pretty high temp(500 degree) clutch fluid and wrapped the line in heat reflective tape. Problem persists. Well, felt like there wasn't any pressure, so we went ahead and swapped master cylinders (just went to another stock unit), and did the drill out mod on the line. Guess what!! Yup, same thing.

The only other thing I can think of is the spring(s) in the pressure plate went bad. Has anyone using a Star ever had or heard of this happening? I think this clutch was rated to 700 HP, I'm only pushing 500 or so at the flywheel. Does anybody have other ideas? Thanks for your input... <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

Did you do the drill mod?

If not, maybe check out this article...
