Question what CLUTCH???

I'm thinking about either getting a speck stage 2 with the billet steel flywheel (around $700) or just getting another gm ZO6 clutch and flywheel (around $450).

This decision should be between either the spec stage 3 or LS7. But between the two you listed I say the spec stage 2

I've had a Spec 2 for the last 2 1/2 years,I got it instead of the LS6 clutch, no regrets. Only problem was it had to pulled and rebalanced because there was a vibration. I'm getting ready to go to a 3+ or 5. I don't see how you figure the petal pressure is too stiff on a 3, a friend of mine just put in a 4 which is a 3 without springs in the disk and I don't think it had any more pressure than the 2. Take a look a the 3+ on Specs site, it's supposed to be very user friendly.

Damn, my stock z06 clutch has 65k miles on a full bolt-on, cam, nitrous car and it is just now starting to slip .

I'd go with the LS7 clutch though, seems like a nice alternate to the LS6.
