Default spec 5 clutch over spec 3

Does the spec 5 clutch require breaking in for the first 500 miles??? Also I'm only making 400/400 rwhp right now will this clutch still be good for my horsepower range - Also how long will this clutch last over the spec 3??? Also is there any negative feedback on the spec 5

I was wondering the same thing. I am going ot be getting a new clutch and was wondering if its worth it. no break in period would be great though.

STg 5 requires no brake in due to material. But I went easy on it for a few hundred miles any way to play it safe. Be prepaired for a squeel on engaugment though for the 1st 500-800 miles, can be a PITA, you might luck out and not have that problem. Great clutch holds and feels great.
I went from a Stg 2 to 5 went I went to F/I and have had no problems, this is also a in town daily driver on, good days. Wife dose not even have problems with this clutch and she drives the car just as much as I. (Nice pedal feel with good height)

the squeel is because it is sintered iron so when you engage its metal to metal

The sintered Iron setups will hold a ton of power, but dont expect it to last very long especially if you get caught in a lot of stop and go traffic often.

My ram 402/sintered iron setup lasted less than 10,000 miles.
