I would definitly go with the LS7 clutch. Did you look at gmpartsdirect yet? I don't remember what their price was.

I got the price quote directly from them when they first posted about them offering them to people on LS1tech and the Corvette Forum.

I don't race my car (yes I'm for real). Got caught up with it being my daily driver. But I changed out my clutch at 40k miles with a SPEC, now at 146k miles, the clutch is running like a champ. No slippage at all. But I think that mine is starting to wear down or something is uneven causing some vibrations, my guess is it's the flywheel.

The biggest problem that people have had with SPEC that I can remember from 2 years ago is installation issues. Improper installation by not replacing the flywheel bolts or failing to put loktite on the pressure plate bolts.

If i replace the parts, it will be SPEC..

Really, it is just a matter of opinion and preference.

i dont know anyone that has ever changed flywheel bolts. i have never changed mine either. i also havent even heard that it was recommended. not saying its not the truth but is it required to do so? everyone i know reuse all the old bolts and just loctite them.

also all the clutch issues i have seen from spec seem to be bad disks or weak pressure plates
