Well, I have a clunk sometimes when changing gears, but I know for a fact mine is the rear end slop. I have the stocker 10 bolt. Reason I know is before I got the car tuned I would get bucking at low rpm with the clutch engaged. Well, guess what I heard when the bucking happened: clunk, clunk, clunk every time is it would buck back and forth.

I have checked the rest of my suspension setup, nothing is wrong with it.

well hopefully it will go away with the 9" install. If not, then lets see if my new master cylinder does anything for it.

I just found out that even with the 01+ upgraded hydraulics it is necessary to do the drill mod. Is this in fact correct? I thought when you put in the new master/slave the drill mod was unnecessary. Perhaps this is part of my problem.

yes, you have to do the drill mod with them all. from what i was told they're the same. its the slave that was changed, but people will still argue that. however, the drill mod is needed, the 01-02 are just built better if they are indeed different.

I'm just gonna wait until Textralia comes out with their stainless, quick disconnect line that has no restrictors whatsoever in it.

Prolly within the next month or so...I think someone has already sent them the F-body line so they can do it. They already exist for Vettes and GTOs (I think).

well i dont have that kinda time oh well, we'll see what happens with the new stuff. It may be the slave causing the issue...cause kidkl has a new master w/ the drill mod and is showing the same problem. Could it be the slave cylinder? I mean it shoots in and out when you press the clutch right?? and thats what the sound resembles right? hmm....

just an update. i replaced the master cylinder and it still did it. just got the slave replaced, but i cant test it cause im deployed. my wife will be doing it for me though, so ill post up and let everyone know if it helped. my slave was shot so i also got another clutch because im pretty sure it developed unever wear and messed up my pressure plate, so its not entierly just the slave that was replaced, but i know it wasnt the master.

I have a poly mount and it does it. I have no clue what it is, but I think its related to aftermarket clutches more than anything.

ANyone ever figure this out? I am having the same problem.

All less than 5k miles:

Six Speed Inc trans
Tex OZ700
RSG NWB
New master and slave, no drill mod
S60 (checked)
Strange Driveshaft (checked)
Prothane motor mounts
Prothane trans mount
Prothane T/A mount
Stock T/A (good shape)
UMI panhard bar (poly/rod)
UMI LCAs (poly/rod)
KYB GR2 rear shocks
SLP bolt in sub frames
Wheels balanced

Still clunks while shifting and blipping throttle and have a high speed vibration over 80mph.

Suggestions?
