Problems with Ram clutch, step inside pleeeeaaaaseeeee Well about two months ago I installed the Ram VDS kit with their flywheel. I used the 402/6140 set up. We finished the install and started the car. No adj master needed, everything was perfect. Ofcourse I had the drill mod done and an 01 slave. We used lock tite on the PP bolts as well. Well after a few thousand miles and some good 1/4 mile passes on the juice I started to notice the car was slightly harder to shift. It would also miss gears when racing or changing gears at high RPM. Finally Sunday at the track I went for my first and only pass of the day. Missed every gear and it would not go into gear unless it was in the "sweet spot". I stopped the car and noticed the clutch wouldnt engage at all. I had to turn off the car and put it in 1rst and start it at every redlight on the way home. Well today I go outside and tackle the adj master install. I bench bleed the system and re install it into the car. The pedal stays on the floor for about 30 pedal pushes then starts to build pressure. I have tried several times and it still wont take any gears at all. I tried to access the bleeder valve but I cant seem to get a socket around it. Feels like the bottom of the valve is sittin against the edge of the trans nole its protruding out of. Im not sure if the slave is twisted just a hair or if I just dont know WTF Im doing..... At this point, its dark and I figured I would see if I can get any help on here, if not Ill give Ram a call tomorrow. TIA guys. Any suggestions are appreciated. Im thinking my logic is correct thinking its the master, However Im aware it could be my PP backed out. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Re: Problems with Ram clutch, step inside pleeeeaaaaseeeee This is exactly what happened to a friend of mine after I installed a '02 LS6 clutch in his car w/ a new 145 slave and stock m/c. The car was doing great after the initial install, but lost total pedal pressure after taking it to the track for the first time. We then installed a Mcleod adj. m/c and it cured all his problems.
My vote would be for the adj. m/c.

BTW, I know Ram says to use the adj master from the beginning, but I didnt need it at first and I had just put 700 into the clutch so I decided to wait a bit. I guess my waiting is up.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Get to the bleeder on the slave and you can get the air out. may need to drill that hole in the floor <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> lemme know if you need some help as im available right NOW.
