Default Trans sticks in gear upon hard accel: 1st, 2d or 3d

Lay of the land--'02 TA , six speed, 420 RWHP

New parts--
*Fidnaza Al FW;
*Spec Stage 2+
*Spec Alum PP
*New Slave
*Trans rebuild by well known racing national rebuilder

Put 'em all together w/the required Spec Slave Cylinder shim (I don't know if other brands use them)

Now have about 400 miles on it. Upon hard accel (5,000 to 6,000 rpm,) the shifter will stick really hard in 1st, 2d or 3d. Can't easily pull it out at all.

It's been like it since install and I thought it may be a break in issue. I was taking it fairly easy up to now. But I'm sure it isn't a "new clutch" problem. Its a REAL problem.

Is it the trans and not a good trans job?
Is it the clutch and not doing what it's supposed to do (ie release when I press the pedal!!)

I went throught the job very carefully and did all items by the book.

Bled the slave to the 10th degree too.

Help w/your suggestions in narrowing this down.

Hey bro, same issues with mine. I had spec stage 3 the gears shifted with ease, just got the Same fidanza flywheel with stage 3 plus, gears comes out but very sticky in all speeds. Please PM me maybe we can work on this together. Hey did your shim come with your clutch or did you buy it separat.

I learned about the shim the hard way!!! I had to redo the job after telling Spec about the initial problem. They asked about the shim. No, it wasn't there to begin with. I then bought it and redid it.

I just wonder if Spec ever requires the addition of two or more differing thickness shims. I could call 'em to determine that. They seem helpful. They obviously are in business to make a successful product. It doesn't make sence for a clutch and FW by a company to not work properly. That's why I wondered if there might be a problem with the trans. But it does shift fairly well when going moderately.

I'll let you know when Monday rolls around.

Why does it have to be internal slave, what a pain.
