Default Z06 clutch in a regular Vette?

I'm asking this for a friend and I'm pretty sure that the answer is yes, but can he run a 2001-2004 Z06 clutch in his stock 2000 Vette? Only reason we're asking is because he can get a very good deal on one. Also, I thought I heard something about people running the 2006 Z06 clutch in their cars? Is that true?

Thanks

I have a z06 clutch in my 99 ss so all I did was flywheel, slave pilot bearing, and throw out bearing which you should do with any clutch install. but yeah everything should work fine. no problems.

yeah the old stle 01-04 z06 you can just get the new PP and disc and use it in any LS1 car. As for the new LS7 z06 clutch you need a the LS2 flywheel also.
