CITY being the operative word. You cant just get on the highway and go 500 miles. The clutch breaks in mostly starting from a stop. Shifting gears and just cruising wont do a thing. No specific period of time I guess. You will see that most clutch companys want you to extend the B/I period an additional 250-500 miles if theres not mich city driving. There ARE a few exceptions with certain friction materials.

I know people who put their clutch in and went to the drag strip the same day and their clutches are still holding up fine. Break-ins are kind of a touchy subject.

ouch 14.3 Hope the new clutch helps but the run of thumb I go by is half throttle driving for the first 250-350 miles and it needs to be around town driving. The more shifting and gear changes you make the quicker your break in. But yes some people just go out and beat on them promptly

14.3? Is it slipping that bad? I ran a full second faster when my 00 TA was stock. When I swapped, I did about 300 miles city ONLY. Then I started playing with it (few 2-3k rpm drops). Then finished the other 200 miles city/highway.

Was that supposed to say "no one"?
With the stocker? Yes, that happened to me a couple times.
With the Spec clutch? Not at all. I changed the master cylinder, slave cylinder, and did the drill mod during the install.

I did have a friend who had his pedal stick with spec stage 3 when running through the gears. He had the stock master cylinder, stock slave cylinder (98), and no drill mod though.
