I can just rev real quick to not even 3000rpms, dump the clutch real fast and put the left foot on the brake (lightly) and then hold the gas at one point to not bounce off the rev limiter and do a nice smoky burnout.

Car never gets sideways, never hit the rev limiter, dont have to do any heel toe (id f' it up in a second if I tried that) and never have a problem besides going through rear pads (linelock will come soon enough)

And you have to turn off T/C or else the car will just bog down and stall

All line locks should hold both front wheels. It should be installed inline with the front brakes right out of the master cylinder.

Well I'll be... Learn something new everyday. I just went outside to test this and sure enough, both fronts hold pressure in the lines. All this time I thought it was only the driver's side. Thanks for clearing that up.

Sorry to say it people but man up and loose the lazy @$$ mullets. ive been asked if i use a line lock at the strip and when i say no they dont believe me.

steps:
1.Take your Left foot and fully push in the clutch while the instep of your right foot pushes on the right lower portion of your brake pedal.

2.Rock your right foot forward while still holding the brake with your instep and with the tows portion of your foot push the pedal untill the engine is about 3500 to 4000 rpm's.

3. dump clutch and while still holding brake(if car moves forward not enough pressure on brake pedal) with instep and towing revs up above 4000 rpms. BAMBOOZIL you have a brakestand.

4.After u see smoke poor take instep off brake and mash into the gas pedal for a pro-stock like burnout up to the line. wallah.

5.itll take a couple tries dont give up after ur first try have fun!

Yeah, I guess not causing added stress on my rear brakes (and the rest of my drivetrain) from using the method you described warrants me a "lazy @$$ mullet". So be it.

Without line lock, you can heel toe as previously mentioned or hold the brake with your left foot after dumping the clutch. If you're quick, it works about the same.

Im sure brakestanding isnt that hard on brakes, but i do know if you have a line lock that will be inciting you burn out longer or use it more often to show off.

you ever seen the sparks flying off the rotor when someone does that? i can see, though, how the line lock could become the new fad, like the N2O purge is now, lol.

Wow, seems like a lot of procedures... I can spin wheels in 1st and 2nd to my hearts content with no line lock. I don't even dump the clutch on a high revs. I just rev it good a few times to let the engine know what's coming, and then hit the gas the hard when I pop the clutch: nothing but smoke and noise

The hard part is not bouncing off the rev limit. I usually end up with a patch about 3 ft long for first no matter how long I hold the rev, and then I start to get a little traction in 2nd but can keep 'em spinning good for 30 feet. I better have some room in front of me when I hit 3rd though, 'cause she's gonna want to go, go, go...

dumping the clutch and jumping on the brakes is the most abusive way of doing it. its like most you guys have something against heel toeing it. Im telling you heel toe is the least stressful to your car and by doing it the heel toe method you can rip through the gears doing a burnout, how are you going to do that if your using your left foot to hold the brake??

I just rev the **** out of it and dump the clutch. Then hammer it in 2nd real fast and hold on and drive. Lots of smoke and tires marks will be in your rear view mirror.

Then again, this could be the reason I went throught the stock tranny.
