Default Which Flywheel Alluminum or Billet Steel

Which is better for boost? Im looking for durability and performance. A buddy of mine said that it would be better to run the billet steal because the alluminum goes through the rpm's too fast and takes you out of the power band too soon, is this true.

i had been running a fidanza aluminum and got rid of it, rpm would drop like a rock between shifts and pulling out was a little more difficult. i since switched to a billet steel with my new ram 910 vds.

I think youll get a better response in the FI section. Im sure someones tried it before, and could tell you about it.

I'm running a Fidanza alum flywheel and love it. Yeah you can't simply let out the clutch without giving it some gas from a stop.... but once you get moving it seems to accellerate very very fast.

The only thing that will make your car go thru the gears too quickly is the rear end gear ratio. Your friend is sniffing glue with his comment.

If you plan to drag race only the steel flywheel is better most likely... as it will store more inertia for the launch; however once you get going I would imagine the aluminum setup would accellerate quicker.
