The hurst is SO MUCH BETTER. My buddy has an 02 Firehawk, that didnt have the hurst, and our WS.6 does. I felt like i was rowing a boat in his car. I couldnt believe how far the shifter moved. He upgraded to a Pro 5.0.

Well, I have the stock shifter, however, maybe I will shop around the parts for sale section...

How much is fair for the whole shifting unit?

man you can pick a hurst for like 50-70 bucks, and get a 20 dollar short stick, it really does rock.

The factory shifter feels like a $2 prostitute...SLOPPY!
Putting in a Hurst was the first mod I ever did to my car, I bet you its worth 3 tenths just from banging the gears better.

I agree that the stock SUCKS *****. I remember going to get my car, and it was a two hour interstate trip. I was going to downshift to go into the off ramp, and missed 3rd like 2 times. And then learning on it was a bitch, I moved up to a pro5.0 and a LSS. I love it.

Now if you don't wanna drop over 200 bucks into a shifter, then the stock hurst with a short stick would be a BAD *** combo for the money so I hear, but I have never drivin one..

PRO-5.0 and a short stick is the only way to go. But get you one of the Hurst factory handles. I had a MBA red aluminum ball on mine, then got me a hurst handle. Ah, its sooo much better.

theres a stock SS Hurst shifter for sale in the for sale section for like 30 shipped, pick it up man! and then get a 20 dollar short stick from UMI or something. So 50 bucks and you will love your car that much more!

Huge difference. I would buy the Hurst if I did not already have it.

Get the Hurst (with a short stick) it's a night and day difference, when I had my non hurst, I couldn't hit 3rd to save my ***, since I got the hurst, (and a SS) haven't missed 3rd since, one of the best cheap upgrades you can do (yes I've had both)
