I'm kinda new to the clutch arena, and am looking at a LS7 setup. This might be common knowledge to some people but..
When ordering from GMParts Direct the
LS7 Clutch/PP
LS2 Flywheel
What about the throwoutbearing, etc.? Is there anything else needed to install this on a 02 ls1?
Search didn't reveal much about the throwout.

where do you get the TO? did you get it from dealer, etc.? which one is it, for LS7 or LS2?

Finally someone with same question as I have. It sounds like the LS7 hydraulics are different including master and slave cylinder. I saw one post where corvette guys were using LS7 clutch and flywheel with C5 hydraulics, meaning that the same may be able to be translated to Camaro/Firebird in the the hydraulics and thus the slave need to be LS1/LS6 type. Keep in mind that the LS7 and LS2 flywheel are identical and same gm part number. I called scoggins and you can get the complete kit with throwout for about $399 and clutch and flywheel wout throwout for about $340.
We need more info to verify if my theory is correct, that the LS7 slave/throwout will not work on an LS1 meaning I will go the route of purchasing the LS7 clutch and flywheel and not the clutch package.

Yea i'm really left in the dark as to the parts needed to get this install right. It seems LS1Joe is selling a full kit for install on f-body.. but I'm not sure what is in that kit

From every thread I've read and based on the parts I ordered, the stock T/O bearing works without upgrading. Not sure if the LS7 T/O is better or the same, but the upgraded LS1 slave and T/O works. I haven't installed mine yet, but basing this info on the many threads on this board of people that have installed it. Here's a list of what I purchased from Fred's. I already have the upgraded master and no the slave and T/O bearing doesn't come with the clutch kit, it has to be purchased seperately. The clutch kit only consist of the pressure plate and clutch disc, no flywheel or slave or T/O:
