Default Is My Slave Cylinder Causing the Clutch to Slip?

this guy is tellin me that the problem for an intermident slipping clutch is some hose in the slave cylinder swells up when hot, slowing down the return of fluid, hence causing the clutch to slip. I apologize for the ignorance on my last poll. any advice would be greatly appreciated

Tell you the truth I'm not sure I'm buying his line of stuff. When things get hot like fluid it seems to flow faster. The slippage could be from either a glazed clutch cause by slipping the clutch or ridding it. The other possibility could be that the slave is leaking and getting on the clutch itself and slipping until it dries. OR it could be that it just died like mine did. Do you do a lot of hard driving with the car? I mean do you do a lot of burn-outs? If so the problem could be a just a warn out clutch and time to up grade.

Let me clear up a lot of burn outs...It only took about 25 to 35 dumping the clutch burn outs to kill my clutch. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

There is a restriction in the high pressure line that runs between the MC and the slave. This restriction or "valve" controls the clutch movement to a specified rate. Which is for overall customer satisfaction and to prevent parts damage and warranty claims. BUT...for performance nuts like us this restriction is just that,a restriction to our need to have a quicker responding clutch.
If you plan on keeping this car and driving it hard or plan future power improvements, I recommend getting an adjustable MC(I use the McLeod), do the "drill mod", and put in any HD aftermarket clutch(I use McLeod).
I have been through several clutches and have been through all this clutch nightmare crapp since I bought my car in 98 and began hopping her up. I now put out 500rwhp on the juice and my clutch system has been flawless(finally) for over a year.

Pull your master cylinder out of the car and remove the braided steel pressure line from the MC. Take a 1/8" drill bit and drill out the restriction in the line. The restriction is about 1" inside the line. Flush out the shavings and reinstall.
