Re: LT1-LT4 clutch disc difference??? Yep. The LT1/LT4 clutch diff. is pretty much the same as the LS1/LS6 clutch difference. Slighly better disk and a strong clamping pressure plate.
I can't really tell what kind of car you have by the name and you don't have a sig. But i'd like to point the finger to a site with tons of excellent LT1 info. Go to www.camaroZ28.com and check out their "LT1 tech" section. They have EVERYTHING you could ever need to know about LT1's. Good luck....

Re: LT1-LT4 clutch disc difference??? Clutch disk is the same, pressure plate has an increased clamping force. The throwout bearing is different between the two. You can make a LT4 bearing work in a LT1, but it's not a great fit. The opposite is not true - you need an LT4 bearing with a ZF tranny.

I have seen posted that some people are using LT4 clutches on LT1 engines.
Are they using LT4 disc, disc & pressure plate or Disc pressure plate and flywheel.
Want to know which to swap to,can LT1 & LT4 components mix and combine???
