Default dropping a transmission

Do I have to remove the motor and trans as one, or can I just drop the trans out? Is there a write up or a guide that i'm not seeing?

I dropped mine directly. No motor mount removal or Y-Pipe removal.

I've dropped the tranny a few times. First time, left the y pipe on and it was a pain in the ***. Next time, dropped the y pipe first and that made things alot easier. No need to pull the motor though.

Go to the writeup for the clutch swap, it'll help out.

Remove Y pipe, remove trans brace, drive shaft, torque arm, disconnect wiring harness/connections, remove center console and shifter stick, remove tranny to bellhousing bolts, drop tranny. Drain the fluid first or it will pour out of the tailshaft and make a mess.
