I put in a 02 Z06 clutch along with new slve and master( Since I have 44K) and I am very happy. I have 3.73s and launch my 3650 (with me) car at around 3200 with nittos. It works great for my set-up. IMO if your gonna launch at higher revs with a tire such as a ET street, you probably will have problems with this clutch. The day to day drivability of this clutch is worth it to me. The real hard core clutches tend to chatter when driven easy, such as in traffic, and I cant stand that. Everything is a compromise IMO.

I tend to agree , It all depends on what you do to your car , If it's a daily driver that sees light track duty the ZO6 would be awsome !!! If you want slicks and race every weekend go with somthing else ! I have had mine in for a few days now and it bites hard compared to my stock unit !!!

good luck !!

Wondering who has upgraded from the factory clutch and to the z06 clutch. How does it feel? Was it worth it? Is there any difference? Did you replace any other components like the slave or master, if so which ones? I am thinking of upgrading just the clutch right now cause it seems like my pressure plate is kaput, just looking for some last minute info, thanks.

Gator, I think the operative words here were most, and tend to. It was not a blanket statement on all clutches! So before you say false, and totally inaccurate maybe read a little closer. Glad to know you have had such good luck with that clutch, Ill remember that If I need to upgrade after my soon to come H/C swap. BTW one of my buddies has the Mcleod iron disk and it chatters quite a bit.
