After this last weekend of a running on the freeway with this apu supra I cant get into gear for ****!
I barly made it home Saturday night and now its just sitting in front of the house, only gear I can put it in is reverse. It makes a loud grinding noise and all other gears it just wont go in no matter how hard I try <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
the clutch pedal is very close to the floor now?
So what could it be the clutch or maybe the synchros?

 

Sounds like the clutch is not disengaging, try bleeding the slave cylinder, if that doesn't work, you may need a new master clutch cylinder, and maybe a new slave cylinder, but the synchros on the tranny should be ok, it sounds like the problem is in the clutch hydraulics.

most doubtfull its diffently your hydralics. You still have the stock clutch dont u? Get a new clutch with hydralics, look into the GP on ram i think there still having it. Also i dont see a aftermarket shifter, ditch the hurst with the short stick and go with an aftermarket, theres an slp one for sale in the classifieds..

 

Thanks guys I was thinking it was the clutch too but someone told me that I would still be able to get in gear which I cant? I am most likly going to go with the Mcleod twin disk since I might be straying a 150 wet shot soon, dont want to keep changing clutchs all the time. I have the Lou short stick but I want the Pro 5.0 so I can still use my short stick.

 

Im pretty sure the short stick on your hurst wont fit the 5.0 shifter. I remember seeing they have differnt handles.

I am going to use the Lou short stick that I bought not to long ago. The hurst shifter is just garbage!
