Yet another LS7 Installed!
Clutch (like most) engaged right off the floor, but after 7 miles, it was at stock height. I ended up getting updated hydros, and we did the drill mod, pedal feels fantastic, wayyyy better than before. The old clutch disk was pretty bad, glazed (smooth) a bit, and the flywheel and flex were covered in heat spots. The slave pretty much fell apart when we disconnected the tranny, and the pilot bearing was RAZOR thin!
Got bout' 100 miles on it so far, feels great, I cannot stress how easy it is to drive the car now, ZERO CHATTER, and SUPER SMOOTH. As soon as it breaks in, I'll let her loose, and see if the new hydros fixed the "sticking shifter" issue I had at anything above 4500 RPM.
I'll try to post pics of the old stock clutch soon, just to let every one evaluate a 80k miles old setup.

Its also MANDATORY to bleed the system right if you change slaves and/or master cyl. Should only have to bleed it once though so long as you keep the fluid fresh. Search username Ranger and check out his site. Great info about this. Great guy. Impressive results he has too watch his vids...
10.85 out of a bone stock Z06 LS7
I've read a ton of these "brand X sucks" threads and especially when I see Spec reviews its always about the iron disks... Those things take some serious care to bed in properly. Honk on it too soon and your screwed. I'd say 1000 miles of easy driving which as we all know is not so easy to do especially with a new set up and for some of us a new toy altogether.
I was hammering my LS7 clutch within fifty miles ( in gear roll ons only no hard shifting ) and luckily it didnt glaze. I've glazed a few clutches in my day and it cuts the life to less than half or worse. Sometimes they dont recover and literally melt off.
