Question Slipping/Shuddering Clutch

I just got done racing my 2000 T/A 6 speed for my first weekend drag event. Now in 3rd gear and up when i put a decent load (step down the gas) it shudders and slips. My question is...Is this most likely broken springs or the whole clutch assembly. Im pretty new to clutches so any advice would be appreciated. Sounds like ill be pulling the tranny. Any tricks to that or is it simple? What would you replace this with if its shot...ls7 clutch spec 3+??

Its a spec III clutch and plate

Yes,
This has had some miles on it. I was told to flush the fluid cuz he figured i boiled the fluid. I check the resivoir and it was clear on the top but i stuck a stick in there and there was black sludge on the bottom of the res. Would this probably be the problem? IF so i will have to find an article on here how to flush the system.
