Default Clutch pedal Clicking?

I'm hearing a clicking noise when I press the clutch pedal (stock master). Anyone have a clue what it might be. I looked underneath the dash and everything looks OK. It is definetely coming from under there. No hydraulic fluid is leaking from anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Check the clutch return spring at the top of the clutch linkage. It might be broken, and the clicking you're hearing is the linkage hitting it.

I'd be willing to bet that it's the return spring. WHen I had the 6 speed in my car it did the same thing. I replaced the spring and it was all better.

I'm having the same issue with my '01 SS, except I feel the click when I depress the clutch. Could my problem be the same??

THanks guys. That was excellent advice. I'll look under there this weekend that I don't have to go to the hospital.
