Which Clutch?

What Clutches do you recomend for a stock rear ended car that races every weekend, and is my daily driver? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

IMO, if your not going to launch at 4k or higher, or run slicks , go with the 02 ZO6 clutch. It comes with flywheel and all, is reasonable, and a pleasure to drive in traffic. No chattering, no adj. masters bullshit. I race the wheels off my car, leave around 3200 on nittos, and get about 400 passes and 25 k from a clutch. On my last replacement I also did the master and slave. The disc actually had quite a bit of meat left on it.The master was actually my problem, but I replaced the clutch anyway, You can get the clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel for around $350.00 . Just my opinion.

i agree, it will hold up fine for a good long time untill you are ready to upgrade to something more ''ignorant''

I just had this decision also. I ended up going with the RAM 402/6130, pretty hard to beat $328 shipped from Summit and just get your flywheel resurfaced. Next time around I'll put in the RAM billet flywheel. We'll see how it works out. I also have the Mcleod adjustable master.

I have the cartech and its seems pretty good.It is pretty driveable but you have to pay attention when you leave the lights in first and it can get a bit grabby I think as it gets hotter.It can be a bit or a pain in heavy traffic also.I hear the newest disc is better in this regard.
Nasty SS curious what mods do you have???...I am still planning on heads/long tubes and 5177 100 shot so didn't think the 02 zo6 would last for me although I don't plan on track racing more than once or twice and mostly just drive the car on the street and have the odd street duel on deserted highways against buddies.Wonder if the zo6 would survive that kind of scenario on street tires with about 600hp engine or so.
Also just how streetable in traffic is that ram
402/6130 setup.

Up until yesterday, I had a bolt-on car that ran 12.6s @ 111. I just did heads ,cam, intake yesterday. My racing buddy runs 127 on the juice with no issues with this clutch. We both live with 60s in the 1.95 range leaving around 3200. Me on nittos, him on ET streets. If you try to leave at 5k I think youll have problems IMO.This is also how Ive kept my 10bolt alive for over 800 passes.

I have the Car-Tek Clutch and I am happy with it. It grabs very hard which kinda makes living with it every day tough because every shift is firm. I have about 1000 miles on it now, so I am still getting a feel for it.
