My stock clutch won't hold my 356 RWTQ worth a poop and I want my car running ASAP and I don't have much money. Any suggestions for a quick fix? Anybody have any luck just putting a better clutch plate and using the stock pressure plate?

at very least, if you get a new clutch disc you will need to have the flywheel and pressure plate resurfaced. i'd replace it all, shop around and you can probably find a kit for pretty cheap.

The stock pressure plate usually is the problem.
Pulled many LS1 clutches where the disc was still usuable, but wouldnt hold new modded power.
It was the pressure plate that was at fault.
Just get a set & slave & be done w/ it.
