Anything special about Ram slave and adj MC?
What the difference? My gut tells me there is no difference. (from stock)
Is an adj MC really a good thing? Is like a bandaid for something that should be done with shims? Wouldn't making the rod longer or shorter cause it to not work properly, ie wouldn't the cylinder travel outside of it's intended stroke?

no the adj mc allows the engagement point to become closer. see when you adjust the trow the pressure is already there compared to stock on the system. so when you actually engage it it creates more presuure and therefore disengages it more. a shim only weekens the system sense the little bolts are what holding you hydraulic system on. plus the adj mc allows you to shift faster and cleaner which always prolongs the life of the system.

The Ram adj MC from what I understand is a stock unit that is modified with an adjustable end. This allows you to change the engagement point of the clutch to were you want it. An adjustable MC is a must with most twin disk clutch setups.
