i have the stock hurst shifter with a black hurst pistol grip handel and it works great even thow its huge now i just need to order a short stick

 

I'm with him the classic hurst just looked to big made it seem out of place. I like my stock leather wrapped ****

 

i've got the factory **** from my z28 with a ws6 store 6 inch short throw shifter and i love it.

 

ws6 store 6.5" stick with stock hurst ****........its really a great combo

 

mba alum red ss **** without a tail. I love it but like someone else said you have to watch out when it gets hot because the **** gets really hot and i've sliped off the **** if it is humid out...........

My setup is the Hurst Billet Plus with chrome stick and black pistol grip. I used to have the black hurst **** which I really liked also.

 

I still have my stock one on my Pro %.0, but I have one like that but it's red and says WS6 on it.....got it from RK Sports

I've got the leather hurst with a speed inc angled short throw.

 

Yeah, It is a little long, but it feels right. I might get a shorter stick in the future to see what kind of differende it makes. Let Me tell You though, My powershifting is dead on. Maybe it works good for me because My reach isn't all that long.

 

I have a Pro 5.0 with a cut down handle and a grey/charcoal Sparco suede (now matted down) "anatomic" **** on it (to go with my Sparco suede steering wheel). I also have a graphite colored Hurst leather **** in case I get tired of the Sparco.

 

stock non-hurst. Love it.

Although, that Cobra **** looks really nice...

 

Im gonna get the T56 shift **** that comes on the 03 / 04 cobras. I wonder if they fit.

It will not fit. Did you not see my post in this thread?

To get a T56 **** from the 03/04 cobras to fit, you must use the pro 5.0 shifter STICK for the 03/04 cobra, and then you can use the cobra ****.

I don't think you can even change the stick on the B&M one......

 

I completely agree. I've been through all the LSS and others(still have them sitting in my garage)


I am sold on the theory you need some stick in order to really powershift the car. I know that technically the shift pattern is shortened the shorter the stick, but when you get as short as some of the short sticks out there, you leave yourself no leverage to push against. In effect, you make yourself shift with just your wrist/maybe arm instead of your entire body....that's no good in my book.

 

Yep thats true. I cant believe some if the short sticks some guys use. I dont see how You could powershift good with a really short stick. My buddy had a pro5.0 shifter with a short stick and I couldn't get a decent powershift out of it. I could see using a short stick for auto Xing but for good consistant dragracing use about stock lenght is good IMO.

 

I swear everybody copied me on the black Hurst pistol grip! I put mine on in the beginning of May. I put in a Hurst Billet plus shifter and at the time had a black MBA SS ****. It was a bit tall so I ordered up a WS6 store 6" short stick and then it seemed TOO short with the MBA ball on there. I ordered up the black Hurst pistol grip and it's almost perfect now. I think if it was about another inch shorter it would be ideal. The pistol grip is just so comfortable and natural feeling it seems weird that it's really an aluminum ****. Aluminum does suck when it's hot and sunny out! I'm suprised I don't have SS or Hurst burned into my hand between the two *****.
