Stuck in 5th

Stuck in 5th Hey guys, ran into a slight problem yesterday. So im driving down the highway and i try and put it into 6th and it wont let me in. I put back in 5th and tried again with a little more force behind it. It just grinds a little and denies me. So I say **** it and say il just drive in 5th and look into it. So im driving along and it pops out of fifth. WTF! I put it back in 5th it stays in so I come up to a slow down, downshift to 4th and we speed up again i shift into 5th again it goes in fine. I try to go in 6th for the hell of it, bad idea. It went in a little bit but not enough to be in gear. so i try and take it out and put it in neutral and it wont go in neutral so i put it back and 5th and pull over. Now it wont leave the 5-6 slot. It will go in to 5th and half way in 6th. What the hell happend!? the car has 23,000 miles and is in perfect shape. I just drove it on a trip for 250 miles worked fine the whole way. I jst bought the car last week and the guy has extended warrenty and I trust him he had no problems since it work fine for me for 400 miles so far. Let me know what you guys think.
