Pro 5.0 Shifter
ok, i am looking at the pro 5.0 from www.ws6store.com.
**they have it for $167.99. They have an optional $15 charge for a 6.5'' or 6'' stick. Then the "H" shifter **** is $22.95 And shipping is $7.99. The total for all this is $213.93
**they have a Mix 'N' Match package with optional pro 5.0 or Hurst for $186.99. Optional "H" **** for $21.99. Then you have to chose the Pro 5.0 for another $5.99, and shipping is $8.99. This package does not offer the 6.5" or 6" stick. So the total is $223.96..
So by doing the math which is clear i am going to go with the first package.. And if i do not go with the 6.5" or 6" stick i am also going to save $15. Now my question is how tall is the pro 5.0 stick?? i know that most people jsut cut off 1.5".. So is it worth it for the 6.5" or 6" stick???? i am going to go with a new **** b/c mine is stock.. plus i like the look of the "H"
what do you all think??

are you sure others cut some off... never heard of that. on my pro 5.0 the base of the stick is cut at an angle so that the stick is leaning towards the driver slightly. i guess it would be possible to do, but i think it would be a pita and worth the extra 10 or 15$ what ever.

The stock pro 5.0 is LONG.. I'm a machinist/welder so I cut a good 2+ inches out of my stock pro 5.0 stick and welded it back together. I had the ws6 store 6" short stick on it before the cut/weld. It was good but the angle on the pro stick centers the shifter much better. I prefer the cut/weld job over the ws6 store stick. With that said, the ws6 store piece is a very nice quality stick and if you are not a welder than it would save you some money.

I didn't really like the angle of the Pro 5.0 stick, so I ended up going with a 6.5" stick from ws6 store. The throws are nice and short, and while they could be shorter and still be comfortable, I didn't want it to look like the shifter was sunken in the center console.
