when my car is in gear the shifter has alot of play to it. YOu can wiggle it back and fourth alot, why would it be doing that? is that bad?

Are you using a stock shifter? If so, thats why! If not, it may be the bolts that hold the handle to the shifter itself, make sure they are tight and lock tighted.

yeah it is a stock shifter the hurst one.. so if i get a a pro5.0 it wont wiggle when it in gear anymore

well i took the boot off and the two bolts were about to fall off, haha i tightened them and it is fine now..
