Default How do you order a GM flywheel by itself???

Does anyone know of a way to order just a flywheel from GM for my 1999 Z28??

They say they have to order the pressure plate with it because the part number in the computer won't let them order it seperate.

Now, there has to be a way...

Thanks,

Eric

why don't you just have your current one turned. I seem to recall that you can't get the flywheel separately <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

The 98-up factory units are sold as a 'modular' assembly, meaning you get the plate, disc, flywheel together.

I might just bit the bullet and get a billet steel. Anyone think that is a waste instead of having mine resurfaced?

If the stock flywheel doesn't have any blueing or hot spots, you should be OK to resurface it as long as no more than .010" need to be removed. If more than that needs to be removed, I would replace it with a billet steel flywheel.

Eric, just have your stock flywheel turned. I have done this for every Rev-Lok install without any issues. No need for the $$$$ billet version.
