synchros going out

My synchros are going out (pops out of gear and grinds going into gears), I would liek to replace them myself. Question is, how difficult is it to replace? I will have the tranny out to do a clutch and slave replacement. I have plenty of experiance doing everything except for internal tranny work. Anybody here replaced their own synchros?

I will be doing this myself this weekend and let you know how it goes. I have been told and have done numerous searches and they all say to take lots of pics.

That would rock. I appreciate it!!! Are you uing a manuel or anything? I have done some searchs also, but haven't found any step-by step instructions.

I did mine about 2 years ago. It has a high degree of difficulty but take your time and you should be fine. Check my site and you will see some good links with instructions and specifics.

THANKS! I do have one question more. Do I need to purchse the syncro rebuild kit or the whole assembly? I am taking for granted as long as ts not too messed up, I will only need thte rebuild kit? It just grinds a little, but the more I pound on it it seems the worser it gets.
