spec 3 question

Default spec 3 question
I just put a Spec Stage 3 clutch in as well as the Spec billet steel flywheel in my 99 Z28. When I picked up the car, I noticed that it would grab as soon as i would start to let the pedal out. Now I got 1200 miles on it and when I take off and let pedal out, it doesnt start to grab until the pedal is almost all the way out.

Is that normal or is there something wrong?

Mine did the exact same thing. It was in my car for 10 weeks and then I pulled it. It looked like it served 8-10 years. Sent it back to SPEC and they said I must have had hydraulic issues. Thing was, I didn't.

I'll never own another SPEC clutch.

I didn't have any issues with my SPEC 3 other than the bolts backing out of the pressure plate a bit. You might wanna get in there and see what's going on.

yeah i heard nothing but bad stuff about spec lately, thats why i went with a centerforce

I've been running a SPEC 3F for around 30-35k miles, and haven't had any problems with it.

If you buy a spec you might as well go ahead and buy an adjustable master cylinder from mcleod. A buddy of mine had that clutch in his car and after 6500 miles it was down to the rivets right now he has got a ram vds clutch I think it will hold up better than the spec.

Yep. An adjustable master cylinder is my next purchase. Once my spec goes out, i was thinking about the ram powergrip HD. What makes me mad is that i havent had the stage 3 no more than a month and now it giving me problems. I spent $640 and so change on the clutch and flywheel and thats not including labor.

I heard the spec 3+ is better but I don't know I live about 30mins from them I still order my stuff from out of state.
