Nv4500????
i will be puttin a nv4500 in my jeep project coming up soon. i have seen a lot of people put one behind an older sbc but i dont think i have seen one behind an ls1. do any of you have any experience with these and know what i will need to run this as far as clutch, pressure plate, flywheel and throwout bearing. also i know there is a .040 different offset on the crank mating surface than older sbc's how do i get around this??

Did you get the trans cheap? Is it because of the ratios you chose that trans. With parst next to impossible to get for it I would pick another trans before you tie up alot of $ and time into it.

no this IS the trans i am using. without question. first gear in it is 6.54 to 1 and it has an overdrive. its also bulletproof. its perfect for my application, rock crawler that will see some street time. also with all the money i saved by doing my motor myself i have quite a bit of extra coin to drop in my trans, and transfer case.
